What are CUSTOM TINT POWDERS?

Custom tint powders are Epoxy, Hybrid, and Polyester powder coatings produced by Polychem, then blended with heat-stable pigments and additives to create unique color shades and the desired effects. Custom tint powders work best under mild to moderate abrasion conditions. For specific applications like store fixtures, coatings may be formulated to have exceptional abrasion resistance or lubricity. In each case, tinted powder coatings should be evaluated with a definite end use in mind.

Colors and Finishes

Custom tint powders are offered in any color and gloss range, and in quantities ranging from a few pounds to hundreds of pounds. Most colors are available in both smooth and textured finishes.

• Custom color matching to duplicate or complement existing colors.
• Unique specialty finishes to simulate stone finishes, wood finishes, stressed metal, etc. in a one-coat powder system.

Application Process

By maintaining consistent application variables such as air pressure and distance from the gun to the part, the end result is a consistent finish.

By changing the application variables, the coater can achieve a one-of-a-kind hand finished look, but on a production basis.

Color matching and production is generally accomplished within one to two weeks after receipt of color.
